Some of you might already got a Surface Pro device as it is now available in Singapore. If you are a good corporate citizen like me, the first thing you might want to do is to install corporate image on it to use for work. :)

Traditionally to install network image on any PC, you will hit on the F12 Key during boot in order to network boot Surface Pro. Well, there is no F12 Key on Surface Pro Keyboard.

###3 Here is what you do:

  1. Attach the Surface Pro Ethernet Adapter to the Surface Pro.
  2. Press and hold the volume down button and then press the power button, continue to hold the volume down button until the Surface starts to boot from the USB key. A dialog box will appear that states that it is “Checking Media Presence……”. Then it will “Start PXE over IPv4”.
  3. When prompted press Enter for network boot service.
