Walkabout Singapore – 13th June
Walkabout Singapore is an annual open house for technology companies in Singapore where the public is given an opportunity to interact with the hottest startups and tech giants, such as Microsoft, Facebook, and Twitter. Since its successful inaugural edition in 2012, Walkabout Singapore has grew by leaps and bounds with its 3rd edition offering 80 open houses, 25 special events, and a rockin’ afterparty at Kyo.
Event Highlights
The event kicked off in the morning with a 10am brunch session at Joyful Frog Digital Incubator (JFDI) Asia at Block 71, after which participants explored startups that are situated in the vicinity.
Technology companies located in the Central Business District (CBD) opened its doors from 1pm, and I was able to visit the Facebook office located at Cecil Street for interesting discussions with its advertising team.
Microsoft Singapore also had an amazing turnout at its open house.
