To kickstart 2017, we held a special edition of “Microsoft Business Talk” at NUS Enterprise where Mr. Sarbjit Singh shared his personal experiences and insights into identifying and nurturing the gifts and passions of individuals to elevate your team’s performance to the next level. Based on his personal experiences, Sarbjit provided the following tips in finding a fulfilling career in life:

  • Understanding yourself better by using a personality test such as “My Genius Test” by Roger Hamilton.
  • Making a decision on the lifestyle that you would like to have.
  • Finding a vocation that suits your chosen lifestyle so that you can excel in life.

Applying these tips in human resource management, you would need a team comprising of team members who are “Dynamo”, “Blaze”, “Tempo”, and “Steel” to handle tasks ranging from business pitching and customer engagements to product development and maintenance. You can build trust in your team by understanding the personality of your team members, and assigning tasks that suit their character.
