The 5 Must Have Games 2012 promotion for February is nearly over, but don’t worry, Microsoft has just announced several new mobile Live titles for upcoming March release. Excited? Us too! Xbox Live for Windows Phone 7 game line-up for March 2012 includes:
- Gerbil Physics - We love the idea of turning an already popular Xbox Live Indie Gameinto the mobile version. The Windows Phone version is said to have three times as many levels as the original, plus lots of new animations and music. Gerbil Physics will be released for official price of $2.99.
- Carcassonne - The popular board game comes to Windows Phone! In Carcassonne, each player takes turns placing land tiles in an effort to build cities, roads, and cloisters. The person with the most points at the end of the game wins.
- GeoDefense Swarm - A game brought by Critical Thought, following its to popular predecessor GeoDefense, a tower defense game, now switches from linear paths to a hex-grid system.
- Pinball FX 2 - The original Xbox Live Arcade pinball game from Zen Studios is known for its pretty-good physics and large number of downloadable tables, so let’s hope that the windows phone version does the same too!
- Shoot1UP - Like Gerbil Physics, this shooting game started out as an Xbox Live Indie Game before moving to mobile Xbox Live status.
- Wordament - Have you played the free, ad-supported version? If not, go familiarize yourself by downloading it in the marketplace, as this title will apparently be re-released as an Xbox Live title. This indie game brought by “You vs. the Internet” is a massively multiplayer word game in which players compete to find as many words as possible from a 16 letters playfield.
I’m glad to see more transitions of those already-popular-Xbox Live Arcade & Indie games into Windows Phone platform. And the Xbox Live upgrade status for free games such as Wordament is also nice thing to look out to. Stay tune for more upcoming game titles! Thanks wpcentral for the sneakpeek :)
