On July 6th, Microsoft Singapore welcomed over 400 kids and their family members to a special YouthSpark Kids Camp. This camp is part of the WeSpeakCode movement to promote coding as the second language of the Asia Pacific region.
During the camp, kids are invited to take part in a variety of activities, such as the “Hour of Code” which teaches kids to code their first programs and “Glimpse into the Future” which provides a rare look into the latest Microsoft technologies powering the future. My little niece acted as my special field reporter as I observed the camp through her eyes.
During registration, participants with Microsoft devices were rewarded with a specially designed WeSpeakCode t-shirt.
Kids were encouraged to explore and learn about the various devices and technologies that are sprinkled all over the Microsoft Singapore office.
My niece enjoyed the various activities immensely, and she was very interested in finding out how all of the different technologies and devices worked together.
To commemorate the event, my niece took a picture with her parents at the photo booth.
Thank you Microsoft Singapore for hosting a fantastic Youth Spark Kids Camp. My niece is looking forward to the next WeSpeakCode event!
