Microsoft’s premier student technology competition, Imagine Cup, returns for its 13th year with three big competitions: Games, Innovation and World Citizenship. You could win a trip to compete in Seattle, Washington, U.S.A., the home of Microsoft for the coveted Imagine Cup trophy and $50,000.

Imagine Cup Timeline:

  • 29 October 2014: Pitch Video
  • 3 December 2014: Online Blueprint
  • 7 January 2014: User Experience Challenge
  • April 2015: Singapore Finals

Pitch Video Challenge RETURNS For 2015!

You’ve got five minutes to change your life. In this new Imagine Cup global online challenge, record a video no longer than three minutes in which you and your team pitch your project. No slides, no charts, no pictures. Just you in front of a camera, telling your story, in any of our three competition categories: Games, Innovation, or World Citizenship. The winning team in each category will receive $3,000 (US).

Learn More about the 2014 Winning Teams

34 teams of students were flown to Microsoft’s hometown of Seattle this past July for the Imagine Cup 2014 Worldwide Finals. The teams competed for the top spot in Games, Innovation or World Citizenship, and then faced off in a live round, on stage before an audience of thousands, with VIP judges including Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella!
