CodingGirls Day | A day of sharing, learning and networking by Lilian Quek

June 24th: CodingGirlsSummit is an inaugural regional event to bring female tech leaders, founders and enthusiasts in Southeast Asia together for a day of sharing, learning and networking. This is a local initiative where they strive to eliminate and lower barriers to entry for ladies from all walks of life who have no or little knowledge in technology but are interested to hone their tech skills.

Microsoft is proud to partner with CodingGirls for this year’s event and we would like to thank Michelle Simmons and Utkarsha Singh for taking time off their busy schedules to speak at this event, reaching out to more than 300 attendees.

Michelle Simmons, General Manager, SEA New Markets, Microsoft Asia Pacific who joined the distinguished panel of speakers in the First panel of discussion on ‘Closing the Confidence Gap Practical Advice and Where to Begin (the Next Big Idea?)’ which included female leaders from IBM, Google, Spotify and ThoughtWorks.

Utkarsha Singh, Technical Evangelist, DX, Microsoft Singapore for sharing her thoughts on Careers in Tech for women in the ‘Career Spotlight: All you want to know about my Technie job’.
